Sunday School Classes

9:45 a.m. Discovery Class
Meets for one hour in Disciples' Hall, room 421

The Discovery Class is a traditional Sunday morning setting where church goers come to enrich themselves with Bible and faith studies. The emphasis is on presentations designed to reach all members. Music and timely secular and religious issues are also an important part of this class. The backbone of the session is a very open time in which all are encouraged to share the needs and praise of their own families, plus any other needs that are known. Class members strongly support each other through both prayer and deed. For more information, contact Leonard Henry.

9:45 a.m. Kitchen Class
Meets for one hour in Disciples' Hall, room 428

The Kitchen Class was so named because the class originally met in the Kitchen (and they do have some outstanding cooks in their class). The group is primarily retired and empty-nesters. They tend to alternate traditional Bible study with more contemporary studies written by leading authors. The class is very supportive and spends time each Sunday sharing praises and prayer concerns, as well as discussing how they can support the missions and programs of St. Andrew's. For more information, contact Dick Bigelow, Parker Keen or Carol Wetherington.

9:45 a.m. Positive Attitudes
Meets for one hour in Disciples' Hall, room 429

The Positive Attitudes Class discusses current national and world events from a biblical and spiritual view. Rather than lectures, their lessons are open discussions using scripture as their guide. The class focuses on open conversations and everyone is encouraged to share their views. For more information, contact Charles Harps.

9:45 a.m. Susanna Class
Meets for one hour in Disciples' Hall, room 420

The Susanna Class is a group of women who study a range of topics from World religions to the apocrypha, to books and people of the Bible- always bringing the topic of discussion around to current situations and how they can use what they learn from scripture to become better followers of Christ. They are a lively group who have a lot of fun. They also take the power of prayer very seriously and have seen that power in action. For more information, contact Barbara Herr.
