YOU CAN MAKE
A DIFFERENCE

Your giving, no matter the amount, can make a difference in the lives of others. When you give to St. Andrew's, you help us reach people with Christ's love

and serve those in need in our community and around the world.

Be the light in the world and see what God can do through your generosity.

...freely you have received; freely give.

MATTHEW 10:8

STEWARDSHIP 2024

In a fast-paced world filled with so much change, we can become distracted, left following what seems to be a never-ending road, searching for that which is constant, looking for the light, for the hope. In 2024, our church mission is Following God in a Changing World. We are focusing on key initiatives this year that will show radical love to others and welcome everyone into the life of St. Andrews.

CAPITAL NEEDS

There are a total of 25 air conditioning units on the campus of St. Andrews.  As of now, 5 units are beyond typical life expectancy for an air conditioner.  There are 3 more units that will be at this same point in one to two years.  The units that need to be replaced are in the Family Life Center and the Sanctuary.  That means if any of these go down, it will impact our renters (Homeschool and Volleyball), Boy Scouts, Meal on Wheels, Youth Ministry, Quilters Group, Joy Group, Yoga Church, the Respite Center, Wednesday Night Dinners, and of course worship on Sunday.  Over the past several years the Finance team has been actively saving money to cover this need.  We estimate the need will be around $125,000 to replace the 5 units.  As a result, the Trustee committee will proactively decide at the first of the year how to tackle this issue fully aware that if we wait for a unit to fail, there will be a time lapse for ordering units and replacing them.  If you would like to give directly to this need, we would appreciate anything you are able to give.

OUTREACH IMPROVEMENTS

OUTREACH IMPROVEMENTS

During the fall of this past year, we surveyed the members of Leadership Council to determine what were needed campus improvements for St. Andrews. A list of all their suggestions was created, then we formed a smaller team of leaders to prioritize the suggested campus improvements.  While we have several needs, it was decided that a digital sign for the corner of Bryan and Bloomingdale was the first choice because it would help bring in new people to St. Andrews. Currently, we are  collecting three quotes. Our preliminary numbers suggest it will cost us about $50, 000. We will update this once we finalize a contractor.

ENDOWMENT FUND

LEGACY GIVING

We've established a Permanent Endowment Fund so that charitable gifts made to our church become, over time, a permanent source of income to support our ministries and programs.
Sowing into Legacy Giving creates financial stability for St. Andrew's and provides for the long-term future of the church, even in difficult economic times.

HOW TO CONTRIBUTE

You can contribute to Legacy Giving through monetary donations, securities such as stocks and bonds, real property, or other gifts which can be invested in perpetuity. The investment income earned each year is applied to specific purposes in support of St. Andrew’s.

Legacy Giving contributors can choose to align their gifts to any of the following categories:

  • St. Andrew’s Church Ministries

  • St. Andrew’s Capital Improvements

  • St. Andrew’s General Endowment (for special needs/ministries identified by the Church Council)

An endowment gift may be made at any time, and is frequently made in honor or memory of an individual or as part of an estate plan.

WHAT IS TITHING?

Tithing is commonly understood as the giving of one-tenth of your income for God. The word “tithe” literally means “tenth” or 10%. This standard of giving comes from several passages in Scripture and emphasizes how we are to always put God first. We believe that all we have in life is a gift from God. Faith-filled, sacrificial giving, not just giving what is leftover, is our opportunity to return to God a small portion of His abundant blessing in our lives.

WHY DO WE GIVE?

We want to fulfill God’s commandment of making disciples. We invite everyone who calls St. Andrew’s home to be a part of God’s plan for the future of our church. If we all sacrificially and prayerfully give we can cultivate faith in a world desperately in need of the hope and love of Jesus Christ. Through your tithes and offerings, prayers and service, we can make a difference by sharing God’s amazing love and fostering relationships with Him.
