Tithes. Offerings. Talents. Prayers. Service

In the middle of the book of Ephesians, the Apostle Paul shares a prayer for the church at Ephesus. He prays that the Ephesians will be strengthened in their spiritual life by the same Holy Spirit who unites them in community. Paul then goes on to say, “I ask that you’ll have the power to grasp love’s width and length, height and depth, together with all believers.” I love that description of the massive love of Jesus for the church.

The church is God’s gift to the world, to help us work collectively to meet the needs of those within the church and the community around us. This past year we have continued to walk through a pandemic. In the spring we had great hope that the pandemic was ending, but by summer we were learning a new term called the Delta Variant. Yet in spite of the ongoing struggles, we have also seen God’s faithfulness to St. Andrew‘s.

We not only continued to do ministry both online and in-person, but we have hosted new events and seen a clear expansion in ministries. Our attendance, as well as giving, has continued to increase and we even relaunched the Imagining More Campaign, focusing on a refresh of the Sanctuary as our space for all worship, both traditional and contemporary.

The Apostle Paul ends his prayer with these words, “Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us. (Ephesians 3:20) This is our prayer for 2022. We believe that God will surprise us and continue to work far beyond all that we could ask or imagine because He loves us and He loves the church. We look forward to this coming year as we continue to reach people with Christ’s love, create Christian community, and serve others. This is what we believe “Cultivating Faith” looks like, and we hope you will join us in this journey.

than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,

We want to fulfill God’s commandment of making disciples. We invite everyone who calls St. Andrew’s home to be a part of God’s plan for the future of our church. If we all sacrificially and prayerfully give we can cultivate faith in a world desperately in need of the hope and love of Jesus Christ. Through your tithes and offerings, prayers and service, we can make a difference by sharing God’s amazing love and fostering relationships with Him.

We hope you will prayerfully consider supporting the mission and vision of St. Andrew’s in 2022. We realize that everyone’s situation is different and we encourage you to see how God is calling YOU to give. We invite you to take the next step in fully supporting the ministry of St. Andrew’s by completing a Commitment Card on or before Sunday, October 31. Online cards can be completed by clicking the ONLINE CARD button below. Paper cards will be collected during each worship service on October 31. The amount you choose to give is between you and God, but we urge you to look at the chart below and participate in our 1% challenge.

Whether you are a first time giver, give periodically, or are a sustained tither, every gift makes a difference in furthering the important work that God has entrusted us with.

Locate your annual income on the left, and then read across to the right until you reach your current weekly giving amount. The top row identifies the percentage of your annual income represented by your weekly giving. Take the One Percent Challenge by moving to the next percentage amount that you feel called to give. If you are a first-time giver, use the chart to help you determine your giving potential.

Other Ways to Give

We are called to let our light shine before others. Find an opportunity where your passion and spiritual gifts meet and be the light!

Paul said that our unique talents, passions, and personalities are gifts of God’s grace that are drawn together in the body of Christ to accomplish God’s purpose in this world (1 Corinthians 12:1-12). Discover or re-discover your spiritual gifts by taking a Spiritual Gifts test.

Prayer allows us to communicate with God and participate in His works. Prayer not only strengthens our relationship with God, but when we pray with other believers, prayer also strengthens the bonds between fellow Christians. We send out weekly prayer list emails. Join us in praying for these individuals by signing up to receive our prayer list. We also encourage you to submit a prayer request anytime you are in need so that we can lift you up in prayer by name.
