Quilts with a Mission

Looking for a serve opportunity that actually fits your schedule? What if a few hours of your time could help wrap someone in beauty, warmth, and love?

Welcome to Quilter’s Corner, a cooperative mission group that creates handmade quilts for those in need. Currently, Quilters’ Corner provides 36" quilts to the Brandon NICU bringing warmth and comfort to the tiniest patients and their families. We also make lap quilts for organizations such as Family Promise and Mountain Heart Community Services in West Virginia, serving infants and toddlers from families facing poverty.

Because of these impacts and your hearts, Quilters' Corner is growing and we’re excited to offer new gathering times designed with you in mind:

Second Friday evenings (monthly)

6:00 – 8:30 PM

The following Sunday (after church)

11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

No experience? Perfect! Whether you’ve never picked up a needle or you’ve been quilting for years, there’s a place for you here. Most who attend these new session times are brand new, and we’ll guide you step-by-step. This group is full of beginners learning together alongside seasoned quilters too.

Each time you come to a Quilters' group, you’ll:

  • Learn a new skill or quilt block

  • Connect with others in a relaxed, welcoming space

  • Leave with a simple “home project” to keep the learning going

And here’s the part that matters the most: your hands create something that becomes someone else’s comfort and a touchpoint for God's love.

Quilters' Sunday at St. Andrew's UMC-Brandon, September 14, 2025. All quilts designed and made by Quilters' Corner for supported charities.

What you make truly matters:

  • Over 50 quilts donated to Brandon Hospital NICU

  • 200+ quilts shared with children through Mountain Heart Community Services-West Virginia with matching funds of $16,791 to support their program (*Dollar figure from 2024)

  • Quilts gifted to families through Family Promise

This is more than just quilting. It’s care that you can give, comfort someone can feel, and love that lasts. This is "Stitching with God's Love."

Interested in learning more or coming to see what it’s all about? Email Renae Roberts, Quilters' Corner Coordinator, at stampwithrenae@verizon.net. Or contact the church office with your information and we’ll connect with you

Our Tuesday morning group is still meeting as well for those available during the day.
